Pacific rugby league fans are set to experience every crunching tackle and thrilling line break as the best teams from around the globe battle it out for the Rugby League World Cup 2026 (RLWC2026).
Pasifika TV and Digicel (PNG) Limited are proud to announce it will be showing all men’s and women’s games – 33 in total – through affiliated Pacific broadcasters, live and at no cost.
The RLWC2026 is a true celebration of the sport in the Pacific.
It will be hosted by Australia, with some matches also taking place in Aotearoa New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
CEO of Pacific Cooperation Broadcasting Limited (PCBL) Natasha Meleisea says he organisation is delighted to partner with Digicel PNG for the month-long event kicking off on October 15.
Digicel PNG has secured the exclusive broadcast and digital rights for Rugby League World Cup 2026 for the Pacific, and it will screen matches to Tonga, PNG and Fiji.
With support from New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), Pasifika TV will screen games to its affiliated broadcasters in countries throughout the region.
The Rugby League World Cup 2026 is set to be the most competitive international tournament in the game’s history, featuring powerful Pacific teams from Samoa, PNG, Tonga, Fiji and Cook Islands.
Natasha adds rugby league enjoys enormous popularity across the Pacific.
This translates into success at the highest levels, with around 45 percent of players in the NRL having Pacific heritage.

The Rugby League World Cup 2026 kicks off on October 15 and concludes November 15, 2026.
