Pasifika TV is excited to be bringing you the 2023 Summer Night Concert from Vienna, Austria! Remember to check in with your local broadcaster to see when it’s on your channel.
This year’s Summer Night Concert Schönbrunn takes place on Thursday, 8 June 2023 and will be conducted for the first time by Yannick Nézet-Séguin. As soloist you will hear the Latvian mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča who will sing three arias from Georges Bizet’s Carmen, Charles Gounod’s Sapho and Camille Saint-Saëns’ Samson et Dalila.
With this free concert in a public place in Vienna, the Orchestra pursues a specific cultural objective by attempting to make classical music accessible to a broad spectrum of listeners and establish a following beyond its usual core audience. Since 2004, the Vienna Philharmonic has performed the Summer Night Concert in the unique ambience of the Schönbrunn Palace Gardens in Vienna.
