Pacific Cooperation Broadcasting Limited (PCBL) hosted the inaugural Media Exchange Programme, held from 15 May to 16 June. Eight broadcasters from eight Pacific nations participated in the programme, undertaking a two-week placement at either TVNZ or MediaWorks. Those involved gained valuable experience and tools participating in the exchange, taking those skills home to share with their respective teams.

For the duration of both groups’ training, the Pacific broadcasters had a combination of both observation and practical experience, and they were mentored by media operators and engineers from TVNZ and MediaWorks, who covered training in all areas of media operations – presentation suite, video editing, camera work, field and crew work, news production, master control room, audio engineering and vision switching.
