As the iconic Pacific Music Awards celebrates 22 years since its inception, Pacific Cooperation Broadcasting Limited (PCBL) is proud to announce it is the regional broadcast partner for the event, on August 12, 2026, which will screen LIVE across the region via Pasifika TV.
Less than a week away, the finalists for the 2026 Pacific Music Awards have been announced, with 33 artists recognised as finalists across 13 categories, highlighting the depth and diversity of Pacific music talent in Aotearoa and across the Moana.
Leading the pack with five nominations are A.R.T and Sam V.
Hip hop heavyweight Scribe has four nominations for Best Pacific Male Artist, Best Pacific Hip Hop Artist, Best Pacific Song for ‘Glowstick’, and Best Pacific Music Album for Scribe is Dead.
Ladi6 also returns to the Pacific Music Awards with four nominations including Best Pacific Music Album for Le Vā.
The producers of her album are also nominated this year.
Receiving three nominations this year are Iva Lamkum, Junior Soqeta, Tree, and Three Houses Down.
Other finalists across the categories include Kenzie From Welly, MELODOWNZ, Brotherhood, Signature Choir, Island Vibes, Lepani, Diggy Dupé and choicevaughan, Myshaan, Shane Walker, Brandn Shiraz, Shepherds Reign2, Vallé, GLEN JXN JACKSON, Taonepuna Lakatani, Malcolm Lakatani and Pacific Kids Learning, Punialava’a, and Village 90.
This year’s Best International Pacific Artist finalists represent music from around the globe, with finalists Jaro Local, etu, JAHBOY, Wameblood and the late Fiji.
Pacific Music Awards Trust spokesperson Rev Mua Strickson-Pua says the Trust is committed to celebrating and bringing together the Pacific music community.
“We also acknowledge the village that comes with each artist and thank everyone who has contributed to their music journey,” he says.
“It’s a challenging time for our communities and for our awards event.
“With each step of the process, it is our artists and their music that inspires and motivate us to keep going.”
