After a three-year hiatus due to the global pandemic, the Miss Pacific Islands pageant was held in Apia, Samoa in February. Started in 1987, the pageant was created by the Samoan Government to promote Pacific women and their contributions to the success of the Pacific.
This year saw five women competing for the title of Miss Pacific 2023:
- Miss Samoa Haylani Kuruppu
- Miss American Samoa, Kauhani Fuimaono
- Miss Nauru, Alexander Pitcher
- Miss Papua New Guinea, Josie Nicholas
- Miss Solomon Islands, Tiare Haro.
The pageant was a phenomenal evening celebrating not only the stunning contestants but also the vast beauty, colour, and life of the greater Pacific community. PasifikaTV is excited to be broadcasting the 2023 pageant across the Pacific on Monday March 10th to our broadcasting partners, so be sure to check in with your local channel to see when it’s on.
