Ahead of the upcoming International Defence Rugby Competition, PasifikaTV attended a training session this morning for the New Zealand Defence Force’s (NZDF) team, the Defence Ferns. The Defence Ferns ran drills throughout the session and interviews with members of the team and staff will be shown on PasifikaTV.
Most games will be livestreamed to the NZDF website with PasifikaTV carrying those games across the Pacific. The match schedule, results, and recordings of the games will also be available on the NZDF website.
The inaugural international competition promises to be an intense battle between the squads and the Defence Ferns are excited to put their skills to the test. Players are proud to represent their country and hope to inspire other women into playing the game they love.
The series will be played at College Rifles Rugby Club in Remuera, Auckland starting Friday 7th October and finishing on the 25th.
