In the Climate Funds Pavilion at COP28, Pacific leaders gathered to discussing Unlocking Blue Pacific Prosperity, calling on the global community to provide funding and investment for the sustainable management of Pacific waters. The initiative, announced at the 52nd Pacific Island Forum Leaders Meeting in the Cook Islands, saw a commitment of $225 million which was welcomed as a good start towards making effective, lasting change.
