Sport City Super Saturday tickets to watch some of the final events of the Sol2023 Pacific Games, including the much-anticipated men’s football gold medal match at the National Stadium, have sold out.

The Games Organising Committee (GOC) on Friday night confirmed that more than 10,000 Super Saturday tickets that cost $100, which gave ticket holders access to all events at Sport City (including the football final, netball, boxing and the half marathon finishing line), have now been snapped up.

“Super Saturday tickets are now sold out. Just today the remaining batch of more than 1,000 tickets were all purchased at the Games main ticket outlet at Our Telekom, Point Cruz,” GOC Ticketing Supervisor Mike Vereseni said.

Vereseni clarified that tickets are no longer available for purchase on Saturday.

“We had initially informed people via text blast that tickets would still be available for purchase at Sport City three hours before Games time, but that is now no longer the case as we have sold out,” he said.

In countering the huge demand from the public wanting to see and be part of these events, including the Games Closing Ceremony, the GOC will transmit the live broadcast feeds to its LED screens at HCC Arena and Lawson Tama Stadium for the public to enjoy.

“We will have the feed transmitted to these screens from the International Broadcast Centre at Sport City. These feeds will include the football final, boxing and netball, and the half marathon finals. These screens will be on the entire day in the lead-up to the Closing Ceremony. Entrance to Lawson Tama to go and watch and be part of the Games’ final day is free,” Vereseni added.
