The sixth World Schools Sevens tournament ttook place at Auckland's Pakuranga rugby club with some of the country's best school-aged talent on display. For the first time, a New Zealand Asian Barbarians team was been entered. Teams competing are NZ Warriors, Asian Dragons, NZ Barbarians, NZ Niue, Cook Islands, Niue Fiti Pua, NZ Condors, NZ Cavaliers, TBR Heilala Central Storm, Samoan Barbarians, Tongan Barbarians
