PasifikaTV is delighted to be broadcasting the #MARANGA – RISE UP AOTEAROA concert this Saturday which has been made possible by partner Whakaata Māori generously sharing coverage of the event with us.

The free, all ages concert is being held at Parrs Park, Glen Eden in West Auckland on Saturday 25th March from 11am to 7pm NZT.

In partnership with the Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency, Whakaata Māori have put together an impressive, star-studded line up including Kiwi legends Stan Walker, Bic Runga, and Fat Freddy’s Drop to raise money for families impacted by the events of Cyclone Gabrielle in New Zealand.

Whakaata Māori Tāhuhu Rangapū, Shane Taurima, said “maranga means to rise up.  It’s a national call to action to lift up whānau and communities who have suffered significant loss and acknowledge the many rescue volunteers through the rebuild and the long road ahead to recovery.”

To find out how to donate, see the full line up, and other event information check out the #MARANGA – RISE UP AOTEAROA website.

The concert will be broadcast on PasifikaTV this Saturday only, so be sure to check in with your local channel and catch the action!
